The Ladies of Trek attended the Victorian Hat Tea yesterday … what a wonderful event. It was planned as a surprise 70th birthday celebration for one of our friends. I’d like to share some of the photos I took of the hats and various dresses. Please let me know if I can forward them via email or perhaps via CD. Thank you, Ann Hanson

Hello – this sounds like a wonderful event! I’m curious as to what time approximately this will end, and also, can we walk around the complex that day as well – and see the houses and the blacksmith shop?
thank you!

Jessica,
Our teas usually run about 1.5 to 2 hours. This one will probably be on the long end because of the guest speaker.
You will be able to walk the grounds as you wish. I’m not sure whether the Kellogg House will be open for guests. It will depend on whether the Victorian Tea Society needs the space for staging food service. The other house (the Maag House) is not open to the public at this time. The Blacksmiths hold their weekly classes on Saturday mornings and are likely to still have the blacksmith shop open when you arrive.

Ann,
Thank you so much for your kind words about the History of Hats Tea. I’m sure the Victorian Tea Society would be thrilled to have your photographs. I’ll forward your question to them.
