Biography:

• Tai Nguyen is a Vietnamese American artist who draws inspiration from nature, changing environments, and his experience immigrating to the United States. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, where he expanded his practice in drawing, painting, and sculpture. His work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world, addressing themes of climate change, pollution, resource extraction, and extinction. Working primarily in realism while experimenting with abstraction and mark-making, Tai creates imagined environments that reflect the lasting impact of human activity and encourage viewers to consider humanity’s relationship with the ecosystems around them.
