HMOC Sewing 101 Workshop: “Let’s Make a Scent Sachet!”

Join us for a day of Victorian fun at our HMOC Open Houses of 2026!

Enjoy fun Open House activities such as guided Docent and self led historic 1898 Kellogg House tours; self led nature walks through our 12 acre Museum grounds; demos from the OC Blacksmith Guild in our Blacksmith Shop and more!

Included in our Open House day:

1:00pm-2:30pm – Sewing 101: “Let’s Make a Scent Sachet!” presented by Jessica Lim (Suggested age 8+)
Included in the Open House admission!

We’re teaching the basics of fabrics, maintaining a sewing kit for home, hand sewing techniques (and how to learn more on your own), with a unique item you can take home.
Please bring your own scissors or sewing kits. Limited craft kits will be available for group sharing.
